Job Vacancy: Company Secretarial Assistant
We are a leading firm of Chartered Secretaries based in Surrey, providing practical solutions to the complexities of company law and company secretarial practice. We act as company secretary to many public and private companies, dealing with routine and more complex company secretarial manners and advising directors on their legal responsibilities.
Due to expansion we are looking to appoint a company secretarial assistant.
Candidates should have a minimum of three or four years’ relevant experience of company secretarial work in a professional practice and ideally be ICSA qualified or nearing completion of the ICSA exams. They need to have good communication skills and be a team player, be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of the Companies Act 2006 and have practical experience of dealing with general compliance and governance duties. Good computer skills are needed and experience in the use of Blueprint and/or Secretariat is desirable.
The role will involve a wide range of responsibilities for a portfolio of companies including routine company secretarial compliance work; maintenance/updating of statutory registers; and preparation of minutes and forms required to make changes to shareholders and directors, share capital structures and articles of association, etc. The role will also include involvement with ad hoc projects which might include client secondment, dissolutions work, compliance audits and provision of corporate governance advice, etc.
